Shooting people’s love is one hell of a job. Its not often I get to shoot engagements because I am always out shooting weddings. But when the opportunity arrises, it gets me excited. I think getting engagement photos helps with your wedding photos. It gets you comfortable in front of the camera and you get to review what you like. So on the wedding day, you will be relaxed about the portraits and you probably will trust your photographer a whole lot more. The secret to great wedding photos is the connection you have with your photographer and how comfortable you feel in front of the camera. If your photographer makes you feel awkward, you will have yourself a good set of awkward images at the end of the day. If you feel comfortable and relaxed, you will probably have some fun with it. And your photos will show just that.
Danielle and I have been in contact for a long time now via social media. When she said she would like me to shoot her engagement photos with Kyle, I was so super happy! I chose the forest around Marysville as the location, because just look at it! We left home at 5:30am to catch the sunrise through the trees and the steam rising from the grass.
