Dreamy Elopement in the Grampians: A Together Journal Exclusive

Considering an elopement in the Grampians? It’s a stunning choice—breathtaking landscapes, total peace, and a day focused just on the two of you. I recently captured Bek and John’s elopement here, now featured in Together Journal.l.

The Magic of an Elopement in the Grampians

Bek and John are outdoor lovers. So, it’s no surprise they chose an elopement in the Grampians. After ten years of adventures and a shared love for nature, Gariwerd (The Grampians) felt like home. This place is more than a stunning backdrop; it’s where they’ve created memories, hiked new trails, and deepened their love.

A Spontaneous Proposal in the Grampians

Their Grampians elopement began with an unplanned yet perfect proposal. Originally set for Wilsons Promontory, their plans changed last minute, and they ended up at their favourite spot—the Grampians. On a misty day, after a hike up the Chimney Pots, they enjoyed stunning views. Bek joked, “Nice spot for a proposal,” and John, always the gentleman, agreed. Just like that, their simple hike turned into a moment they decided to remember forever.

Planning a Perfect Elopement in the Grampians

When planning their day, Bek and John were focused. They wanted their Grampians elopement to be stress-free and special. Their first priority was finding the right photographer (yep, that’s me). They sought someone who understood their vibe—fun, relaxed, and focused on the moments. The Grampians provided the perfect setting: stunning views, cozy accommodations, and ample nature to enjoy.

Personal Touches in Their Grampians Elopement

Bek and John added personal touches throughout their day. Bek’s dress was custom-made, with the texture and romance she had envisioned. John sported a woolly flannelette suit—stylish and practical for the chilly mountain weather. They included special details like custom cufflinks featuring their beloved dog and a boutonniere made from kookaburra feathers. Their Grampians elopement was truly a reflection of them.

An Unforgettable Elopement in the Heart of the Grampians

Bek and John’s elopement in the Grampians was everything a wedding day should be—intimate, beautiful, and full of love. The Grampians provided the perfect backdrop for a celebration that felt completely their own.

If you’re dreaming of a nature-filled elopement, the Grampians might be just the place. And if you’re looking for someone to document the day, I’d love to work with you to create something truly special.
