Elly & Ed

When you’re planning a wedding in Victoria, you’ve got to be ready for all four seasons in one day, and Daylesford is no different. Elly and Ed’s celebration at Sault, Daylesford, was the perfect spot for these two.

I shoot in Daylesford a lot, but it’s not every day you get rainbows and waterfalls during a wedding—one of the perks of a little rain! Sault is ideal for any weather, with a cozy lakehouse chapel for indoor ceremonies and a beautiful restaurant for receptions.

Being part of Elly and Ed’s wedding was an absolute joy, and it’s a day I’ll always remember. I often have to pinch myself because I get to work with amazing clients who trust my craft and vision, and seeing their love for their images at the end of the day is truly special!

Ceremony/Reception venue: Sault – Daylesford. Jodi, Damien and the incredible team at Sault were absolutely amazing! They coordinated the day seamlessly. Even with the weather changing as much as it did, we knew they had everything covered and we are so grateful for that. They helped keep us calm and relaxed throughout the entire planning process. All of the details were perfect, from the delicious food and drink, professional and attentive service, gorgeous chapel/reception space and beautiful gardens, just to name a few. We can’t wait to return to Sault to celebrate our first wedding anniversary next year.

Photography: Free The Bird Photography. Where do we start! The best decision we ever made was to book Free The Bird to shoot our wedding and we are still pinching ourselves that we were lucky enough to book him! We are absolutely in love with our photographs and get goosebumps every time we look through them. Such an incredible artist and his photographs evoke all of the indescribable feelings of the day. He is so genuine, professional, calming, kind and talented! He is absolutely amazing and it will be the best decision you make, ever!

Celebrant: Tracey Patterson – Tracey is an amazing celebrant. She was warm, caring, calm, organised and professional every step of the way. From the moment we met her, we knew we had met a truly special soul. We couldn’t have asked for a better celebrant!

Videography: David Josue – We were lucky enough to have David from Josue Films shoot our wedding day and he was absolutely incredible! David brought such a warm, friendly, positive and professional energy to the day. He is so extremely talented at what he does and this translates directly into the quality of his films. We fell in love with the style of David’s work when we were researching videographers and we were so happy to book him. We couldn’t recommend David highly enough!

Florist: Zara Nicholls, Wooton and Nicholls – Daylesford. Zara from Wooton and Nicholls is such a talented florist (and beautiful person!). Our floral arrangements were absolutely stunning and were exactly what we had pictured them to be. We loved that Zara incorporated my favourite colour (blue) into our arrangements so beautifully. We are so grateful for everything Zara did to help make our day so special.

Hair: Gabbie Ward – Gabbie is such a professional and talented hairdresser (and gorgeous person!). My bridesmaids and I were so happy with our hair on the day. We couldn’t recommend Gabbie highly enough!
